Achieve Believe Enjoy
Year 3 took part in an arts project with the local company Northern Print. The project was called "Tidemarks: Printing Plastics, and Our Coastline".
The project began with a visit to the beach to collect waste and visual ideas for print making.
Professional print maker, Helen Donley, came to work with the children in school and introduced the collagraph process. The children made collagraph printing plates using waste plastics.
The children then used a portable printmaking press to produce their individual prints. These stunning original prints have been displayed in a public exhibition at Northern Print.
