Forest School

Forest School is an inspirational approach to learning which provides children with the freedom to explore, learn and achieve in a natural  outdoor environment.

Regular sessions provide the children with opportunities to develop their confidence, resilience and self esteem through achievable challenges and offers the children the opportunity to take supported risks which are appropriate to the environment and themselves.

The natural environment allows for a relaxed atmosphere without the worry that they are unable to get wet or dirty and also enables the children to become more aware of the natural world which in turn fosters a relationship between themselves and 'Their Forest'.

Our Ethos

We believe that all children should have the opportunity to explore, learn and develop within a healthy natural environment.

Coquet Park has a unique position beside the attractive coastline. We also have our very own woodland area within the school grounds and have two members of staff who are fully qualified Forest School Leaders.  We ensure that our children have the opportunity to take part in regular sessions,  through learner led experiences, promoting the development of the whole child.
